It's autumn ... and Rein once again shows its most beautiful side.
Mountain autumn
The larch tree needles shimmer golden yellow, the view is clear and pure, with pleasant temperatures. Ideal for all summiteers, pleasure hikers and bikers. Autumn is the most beautiful time for hiking in the South Tyrolean mountains.
The Almabtrieb
The Almabtrieb – when the cows come home from the mountain summer pastures – is one of the most important autumnal traditions in Rein in Taufers.
Every two years, on the third weekend in October, it's again time in Rein in Taufers for the "Kiekemma" celebration, with a big autumn festival and the cattle drive featuring the richly bedecked cows.
